India thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan 4-0 in the inaugural match of the Champions Trophy hockey tournament in Breda, Netherlands on Saturday.
Ramandeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh and Lalit Upadhyay scored for the men in blue who completely dominated their opponents throughout the match.
India were leading 1-0 until the 54th minute, but thereafter, Dilpreet, Mandeep and Lalit found the back of the net within six minutes to make it 4-0 for India.
India, who have never won the Champions Trophy, are off to a perfect start in the tournament. India will take on Argentina in their second match on Sunday.
