Schools reopen after remaining shut post Pulwama clash

Schools reopened after a week-long closure in Kashmir Valley on Monday. The schools were shut after clashes broke out between a group of students and security forces on April 15. The students had pelted stones at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers when they tried to enter a college premises to arrest a few miscreants in Pulwama. Following the attack, the security personnel fired tear gas shells to disperse the agitated students. The police and security forces have been put on high alert in order to curb any untoward incident in the state.
