School students call for environment conservation on Earth Day

As the world celebrates Earth day on April 22, a number of school students took to roads to spread awareness about key environmental issues such as pollution and cleanliness. The students carried banners, highlighting messages such as 'Save the Environment' to encourage people to work towards keeping their surroundings clean. In a similar initiative, a group of students launched a campaign titled 'Switch off the engines at red lights that are longer than 15 seconds for a greener tomorrow' in the national capital. Around 60 students participated and distributed pamphlets to the commuters. In Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, school students painted their face with quotes on environment and campaigned door-to-door.
