Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Aug 22 (ANI): A scam comes to light in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur where under National Health Mission scheme incentives are given to women for giving birth to female child. As per official records, a 65-year-old woman allegedly gave birth to 8 girls in 14 months and money was transferred to her account. A 4-member committee has been formed which will submit its report in 2 days. While speaking to media, the DM of Muzzafarpur, Chandra Shekhar Singh said, “Janani Suraksha Scheme amount was credited in bank account of some old women many times in a year. We have formed a 4-member committee which will submit its report in 2 days.” “If true, we will take administrative and legal action in the case,” he added.
