SC stays Allahabad HC order; guides to refrain themselves from passing directions

On Friday, the Supreme Court stayed an order of Allahabad High Court in which it directed the Uttar Pradesh government to provide 20 to each hospital, and two of them must be installed with Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The high court stated the entire medical system in villages, and small cities of Uttar Pradesh is at God's mercy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The apex court said that High Courts should refrain themselves from passing directions that cannot be implemented. On May 17, the Allahabad High Court, while hearing a PIL over the coronavirus spread and the condition of quarantine centres in the state, passed various directions.
