Supreme Court takes cognizance of COVID orphans; states to act against illegal adoption

The top court have asked the states to act against the illegal adoption of children who got orphaned after Covid. The directions were issued after the NCPCR informed the supreme court about the unlawful adoption of the kids. The Supreme court has now given the orders that no adoption in violation of the 'Juvenile Justice Act' and without involving the central resource authority should occur. The Supreme court has also asked the states to look into the matter. It's a significant direction for the children orphaned by Covid, and Supreme Court has demanded to take action against the NGO and Orphanage house, which breaks the law.
