New Delhi, June 3 (PTI) Following is the timeline of events in which the Supreme Court on Thursday quashed a sedition case against veteran scribe Vinod Dua for his alleged comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his YouTube show last year, saying a 1962 verdict entitles every journalist to protection: *Mar 30, 2020: Dua uploads a video on YouTube criticising government over Pulwama attack in 2019 and nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus in 2020.

*May 6: An FIR lodged against Dua in Himachal Pradesh by a local BJP leader after a delay of 36 days, alleging sedition and other offences.

*Jun 4: Another FIR lodged against Dua in Delhi by a BJP spokesperson.

*Jun 10: Delhi High Court stays probe into the FIR lodged in the national capital.

*Jun 12: HP police summons Dua for questioning in sedition case.

*Jun 13: Dua approaches Supreme Court seeking to quash the FIR.

*Jun 14: SC restrains the HP police from arresting Dua until further orders, seeks investigation report. SC, however, refuses to stay the probe.

*Jul 7: SC pulls us HP police for failing to file the investigation reports pertaining to the case.

*Sep 16: Centre tells SC that Dua's show incited people to migrate during pandemic.

*Oct 7: SC reserves verdict.
