SC dismisses Rohingya refugees' plea; to be deported back to Myanmar

The SC has dismissed a plea that sought immediate release of over 150 Rohingya refugees who were detained in J&K and has restrained the Indian government to deport them back to Myanmar. This plea of emancipating the refugees from the detainment stalls, allowing them to stay and not be deported back to Myanmar was filed by Mohd Salimullah a Rohingya refugee. However, it was dismissed this morning falling in line with the previous concerns of the Centre that this country can not be a hub for illegal immigrants. The final verdict in opposition of the Rohingya Refugees was pronounced by a bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde and Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian.
