Saria weakens on reduced offtake

New Delhi, Apr 27 (PTI) Saria prices fell by Rs 100 per tonne at the steel market in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slowdown in construction activity.

Traders said slow down in construction activity against sufficient stocks position mainly weighed on saria prices.

Saria Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm prices were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 40,900, Rs 39,700 and Rs 39,700 per tonne, respectively.

Saria 16-25-mm also traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 39,200 per tone.

Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per tonne): Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 40,900, 10-mm Rs 39,700, 12-mm Rs 39,700, 16-25 mm Rs 39,200.

MS Angle: (50×5) (50×6) Rs 42,000, (40×5) (40×6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (IS) (40X5) (40×6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600, Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
