Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut summoned for questioning in PMC Bank money laundering case

Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut's wife, Varsha Raut, was summoned for questioning in the PMC bank fraud case by the Compliance Department. She has to meet the officials at the Mumbai office of the agency on December 29. Sources said the agency is investigating suspected financial transactions between Varsha Raut and Pravin Raut, who are under arrest in the case.

This is the third time she has been summoned in the case involving the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank's suspected loan fraud. On health grounds, she had missed the two previous citations. On December 11, she was asked to join the investigation.

Eknath Khadse, who transferred from the BJP to the NCP camp, was also summoned by the ED to be questioned on December 30 in connection with a case involving money laundering.

The case dates back to last year's October and inquiries are about the regarading of suspected irregularities in the bank's some loan accounts.
