Sam Faiers is facing a backlash after using an Anne Frank quote alongside a picture of herself as she urged people to “stay positive”.
The picture posted on Instagram showed the TOWIE star smiling and looking glamorous as she sat on a bed.
It was captioned: “What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.”

The quote was attributed to young diarist Anne Frank, who documented her life in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II before dying in the Holocaust.
"Couldn't have said it better myself Anne Frank,” Faiers said, adding the hashtags “#staypositive #focusonthegood”.
However, the star’s post proved to be a misfire with some fans.
One person posted a message on Twitter saying it was “totally distasteful and disrespectful” of Faiers to reference the Jewish diarist in that way.
Another person tweeted: “Have never been so horrified by something. Have still never managed to finish the diary Anne Frank because it was so upsetting.”
“Why are you hashtagging Anne Frank? I see no similarity at all in your situations,” one person said on Instagram.
“I see no reason at all why you would compare a lockdown to protect and save lives to Anne Frank whose entire life and dignity was stripped from her, her family and over 6 million Jewish people so cruelly and deliberately erase lives. Please take the time to educate yourself and remove this reference immediately,” said another.
Faiers did later remove the quote.
Frank became well-known posthumously after the publication of her book about living in hiding, The Diary Of A Young Girl.
She died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945, at the age of 15.
