Salman Khan And Shilpa Shetty Kundra Summoned To Court For Their Bhangi Comment
Seems like there is no respite for Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who have find themselves in the midst of a legal mess for their infamous Bhangi comment. Shilpa had reportedly used the word to describe how she looks at home, while Salman used the word on a public platform during the promotion of his film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai‘, while referring to his dancing skills, hurting the sentiments of the Scheduled Caste community. As per latest developments in the case, the two have reportedly been summoned by the deputy SP of Rajasthan’s Churu district, Hukum Singh. Besides, film analyst Komal Nahata was summoned to the court as well. In the previous month, a complaint was reportedly registered against the two actors in Mumbai in relation to the matter.
Reports indicate that the National Commission for Scheduled Castes had sought replies from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and the police commissioners of Delhi and Mumbai over the issue after it received a complaint from an ex-chairman of the Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Harnam Singh.Shetty had taken to her Twitter account to apologise for unknowingly hurting the sentiments of the Dalit community, but Kishor Kumar Masoom, the Vice President of the Republican Party of India-A still filed a complaint against the stars at the Goregaon police station.
He reportedly refused to accept the apology and continued to emphasize how according to the law, the stars should get imprisoned for five years. He had earlier stated that if the police and judiciary system of the country failed to take a strict action against the actors, the Dalit Samaj across the country will protest and in a democratic way force the authority to protect the law by punishing them for their wrong deeds. Meanwhile on the professional front, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is breaking new records every week, while he has already started shooting for his next film, Race 3 opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. On the other hand, Shilpa Shetty is the judge of the popular dance reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 2.
