Salman Khan took to Instagram to share a star-studded selfie on Friday that included Govinda, Rajkummar Rao, Bobby Deol, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh, Ananya Birla, Karan Wahi, Javed Ali andSuresh Raina, among others. The picture was taken ahead of the opening ceremony of Zee Television’s Indian Pro Music League.
Bollywood actors, singers, and even sportspersons have come together to launch a fresh format in the world of music. The IPML is being described as the world's first-ever music league inspired by the world of sports which has seen several league tournaments, like the Indian Premier League for cricket in India or the English Premier League for football in England.
The IPML is the first-of-its-kind music league that will have six teams that comprise owners like actress Shraddha Kapoor, along with her father Shakti Kapoor and brother Siddhant Kapoor, Govinda along with wife Sunita, Rajkummar Rao, and Riteish Deshmukh along with wife Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh. Each team will represent different regions of India as they compete against each other in a musical championship. Each team will consist of a popular playback singer from Bollywood as captains who will be accompanied by a reality show star and a fresh new singing talent.
Salman captioned his selfie and wrote, that with such a large gathering of stars, one selfie is a must. He further wrote that the world's biggest music league is here, and that calls for one “mega selfie”.
The opening ceremony of the Indian Pro Music League will air tonight at 8pm on Zee TV. Salmanhas been announced as the brand ambassador of the upcoming musical league. The actor’s post has garnered over 6,23,910 likes. Fans have expressed their excitement with red heart and fire emojis.
Salman is reportedly shooting for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan in Mumbai.
