Salman Khan Not Ready To Forgive Arijit Singh Just Yet, Drops His Song From The Upcoming Film Welcome To New York
If there is one actor who is known for backing talents and introducing fresh faces in the industry, it’s Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The 52-year-old actor has inspired and introduced many actors such as Katrina Kaif, Arjun Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Zareen Khan, Mouni Roy and the like to the industry. However, it is equally well known that if the actor takes a disliking towards someone, his/her career in the industry is over for good. There have been many actors in the past, whose professional commitments went downhill after rubbing off the actor in the wrong way. Well we all remember how Salman made Rahat Fateh Ali Khan re-record a new version of Jag Ghoomeya song, which was originally sung by Arijit Singh in his superhit film, Sultan. Well, looks like the actor is still miffed with the singer as he seemed to have done it again.
According to reports, Salman once again replaced one of Arijit’s songs from the upcoming multi-starrer film, Welcome To New York, with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version of the same. It’s a surprise that such a thing would happen in a film that doesn’t even have the superstar acting in it. However, from what we hear, he will be seen doing a special number, Nain Phisal Gaye in the movie, that stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Karan Johar, Boman Irani and Ritesh Deshmukh in pivotal roles. For the uninitiated, Arijit got onto Salman’s wrong side, when during an awards function, Arijit tried to pull Salman’s leg who was hosting it by saying, “Kya sir sula diya aapne?”. The singer’s statement didn’t go down quite well with the superstar, who then dropped his song from Sultan. In May 2015, the singer posted an apology letter on Facebook, appealing to Salman to forgive him and let his song remain in the film. However, when Salman replied, stating, “Who is that?”, Arijit deleted the post.
