People from all walks of life and all castes thronged the Sai temple in Mullanpur Dakha town of Punjab to pay obeisance to the saint on the occasion of the first anniversary of the shrine. The mega occasion included the dressing up of the Sai in brand new clothes, the recital of hymns and devotional songs and distribution of sacrament. People attending the celebrations at the Sai Temple were doubly happy as it was also the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. In just one year the temple has become an epitome of the unity in diversity, which is visited by people of all faiths. Not just Mahashivratri, any festival followed by any faith and culture is celebrated with equal fanfare at the place. The fragrance of peace and brotherhood is spread from this temple to every part of Mullanpur town. Apart from its religious significance, the temple has also become an epitome of communal harmony. For the worshippers, religion, caste or community never came in between their prayers to Sai. They tread on the path of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" which means "the world is one family". People, cutting across religious lines, thronged the temple with the message of communal harmony.
