Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is all set to have an Android powered mobile phone named after him. Smartron, the homegrown manufacturer, is going to launch the phone on May 03. The company took to twitter and in one of the tweets posted a teaser, hinting, the phone could be named as ‘srtphone’.

The phone is expected to come with a price tag of under Rs 15,000. The SRT smartphone also will have an autograph of Tendulkar on the rear cover, reports News 18.

Smartron entered in Indian market about a year ago when it launched t.phone and t.book. Smartron recently came up with a campaign, #MyWishToMeetSachin where fans will have the chance to meet him in person on the launch of the smartphone on May 3.
The in depth details of the phone is still awaited by the company, while Samrtron’s Twitter handle gives the catchphrase as ‘Mastery at the Core’. It is also being suggested that the phone could put its focus on chipset along with its performance as well, reports bgr.in.
