Celta came close to pulling a goal back late on but Real 'keeper Iker Casillas produced a fine save to keep out South Korea striker Park Chu-young's header. In another match, Malaga defeated Valladolid.
Calcutta: Okolie Odafe and Manish Maithani had an altercation during a practice session on Saturday. Odafe was furious after he felt that Manish deliberately failed to pass him the ball when he was in a goal-scoring position.

Calcutta: The Cricket Association of Bengal has postponed the Ranji Trophy team selection till October 28. The selectors were supposed to announce the squad on Saturday. But the CAB had a change of mind as a few key Bengal players are expected to be in the India A squad, who are scheduled to play a warm-up game against England on October 30. The India A squad will be named on Wednesday.
