Road accidents kill 13 in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Feb 7 (IANS) At least 13 people, including eight labourers, were killed and more than 30 injured Thursday in two road accidents in Jharkhand, police said.

The eight labourers died and more than were 20 injured when the driver of the vehicle in which they were travelling lost control and hit a tree in Hazaribagh district.

The second accident took place at Ghaghra in Gumla district, 145 km from Ranchi, when a truck ferrying a group of people returning from a wedding turned turtle. Five people died. Eight were critically injured.
