The Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is still in jail because of the pending bail plea hearing in the Dumka treasury case. The leader was granted bail in connection with the Chaibasa treasury case related to the fodder scam last month for which he was convicted in January 2018. But was in jail over the Dumka treasury case.
The Jharkhand High Court has today, however, deferred the hearing of Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to November 27 in the case. He is currently serving a 14-year-old term in the case. The hearing was scheduled for November 9 but now has been deferred.
