Rishi Kapoor Lashes Out At Rahul Gandhi, Says You Have To Earn People’s Respect And Love

In the new episode of Rishi Kapoor on Twitter...

Congress VP Rahul Gandhi making the wrong headlines is pretty common, but this time he’s dragged along with him a new name, and he’s getting it back for his words yet again. Addressing a press conference in Berkeley, USA, Rahul Gandhi mentioned how he is a product of the nepotism in politics, pointing that it exists in many industries, including Bollywood. He said, “Most parties in India have that problem…Mr Akhilesh Yadav is a dynast. Mr Stalin (son of M Karunanidhi of DMK) is a dynast… even Abhishek Bachchan is a dynast. So, that’s how India runs. So, don’t get after me because that’s how India is run. By the way, last, I recall, Ambanis are running the business. That’s also going on in Infosys. So, that’s what happens in India.”

Not a very good defence, Rahul. Rishi Kapoor, of whom a cathartic tweet is expected at any time, thought it wrong of him to say that nepotism is the way in the country. Rishi Kapoor barraged Rahul Gandhi in a series of tweets. He wrote: ” Rahul Gandhi. In the 106 years of Indian cinema of India, Kapoor’s contribution is 90 years. And each generation is chosen by public on merit. By God’s grace we are in 4 generations.Prithviraj Kapoor.Raj Kapoor.Randhir Kapoor.Ranbir Kapoor-Males.Besides all others. You see otherwise. So don’t bullshit people on “Dynasty” You have to earn people’s respect and love through hard work not zabardasti and gundagardi.”

However, Rahul Gandhi hadn’t mentioned the Kapoor family in his remark, which makes us wonder if Rishi Kapoor took it as a personal offence. Howsoever, in his proud line up of the actors of the Kapoor family, he forgot to mention the name of females, that too the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor which sort of suggests a misogyny. Anyway, stay tuned this space for more updates.
