The new season of Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai is going to hit our computer/mobile screens in 20 days, well atleast that’s what a report on Pinkvilla suggests. Ever since the show went on-floors, it was said that it will air sometime in May, although the the exact date was kept under the wraps. However, now a source has told the portal that the second season of the much-loved TV series is all set to kick start on May 16, 2017. When they got in touch with JD Majethia, the producer of the show, he said, “Well, I haven’t received any confirmation from the home channel’s end as of now but you can definitely consider it to be the tentative date.” Although Majethia’s statement does not confirm the news, it has definitely given us high hopes. We really hope it’s May 16 or maybe sooner than that, because it’s just getting extremely difficult to hold our horses.
There were reports that Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai season 2 will also air on television, but the producer clarified a few days back that it has been made purely for web and whether it will air on TV or not is something that the bosses at Star Television Network will decide. Few days ago the makers released the first promo of the show and sent fans into a tizzy. They asked their loyal fans to suggest a new name for the series. The final title hasn’t been declared yet and the excitement level has already reached the ceiling.
Before that Majethia conducted a Facebook Live from the sets of the show and gave us a sneak peek. While the prime characters of the show: Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak), Indrawadhan (Satish Shah), Sahil (Sumeet Raghavan), Monisha (Rupali Ganguly) and Roshesh(Rajesh Kumar) have obviously been retained, a new character has been introduced. It’s Monisha and Sahil’s son! The director, Deven Bhojani (who plays the role of Dushayant in the show), says that the little one is a perfect combination of Sahil and Monisha. He says he has also imbibed qualities from Maya and Indu.
All this suspense is just getting too much now. Air it already, you guys!
