A big breakthrough in the Republic Day Violence case has now come to light. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has now arrested Gurjot Singh, one of the main accused in the Republic Day Violence. According to the Delhi Police, he was the one who climbed on the tomb and led the protest at the Red Fort. The accused has been on the run for the past 5 months and a reward was placed on his head of Rs 1 Lakh. In the charge sheet which has been filed by the Delhi Police, Gurjot's role has been specifically mentioned and how he led the mob of 1,000 odd people. The charge sheet further states that how the main accused wanted to turn Red Fort into a protest site.
