Relief for Rajiv Assassination convict, Madras HC grants 2 week leave extension on medical grounds

The Madras High Court has extended the ordinary leave granted to Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case convict Perarivalan by another two weeks. His parole was ending on the 9th of November. His mother had sought extension for another 30 days citing health and need for medical treatment.

The Madras High Court has accepted the plea of the accused's mother and has granted a 2 week extension. He was already out on parole and it was supposed to end on November 9.But his mother sought extension of parole citing health concerns and that he should not be sent to jail amid rising COVID cases.
