Hooghly (WB), Apr 26 (PTI) The relatives of the people who either died or went missing after Wednesday’s jetty collapse blamed the owner for the mishap.
“We all knew that the jetty would break one day. The owner of the jetty did nothing about it. Those accused should be severely punished,” Sanjeev Singh who was looking for his brother said.
My brother Sujeet Singh was supposed to return home after his coaching class, he said while he looked for his brother.
Paresh Dey, a resident of Charmandir of Gondalopara was worried since he did not get any news of his nephew and niece.
“My nephew and niece were supposed to attend a wedding in Titagarh. Four others were travelling with them. They don’t know how to swim,” Paresh Dey said.
“I have not yet been informed about their whereabouts,” he said.
“I think I have lost my son. I will hold all ministers and leaders responsible for the mishap,” said Laxman Singh as he frantically looked for his son.
