Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a circular for airlines on strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols during air travel. The notice was circulated after DCGA witnessed blatant violations of COVID-19 protocols on the airport.
In the notice, the DCGA mentioned that passengers will be de-boarded if they don't wear masks or do not adhere to COVID-19 protocols. If a passenger violates protocol despite repeated warnings then the passenger will be treated as an 'Unruly Passenger'. Apart from this, the DCGA also expressed grief over how some passengers do not maintain social distancing in the airport premises.
