History was made in the Indian Premier League on Sunday as the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore set a new record in a game against the Gautam Gambhir-led Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. However, the record was a highly embarrassing one — being bowled out for a meagre 49 runs, which is the lowest ever total in the IPL.
Chasing a target of 132 – which in itself is a low score going by T20 and IPL standards – set by the home team, the RCB powerhouse batting line-up found themselves in a damp squib situation, with the highest score was 9 by Kedar Jadhav.
Such a rare occasion obviously provided the Twitterati a field day:

And RCB Accepted Their Defeat With Humility
Great to see 2 low scores defended in 2 days.. shows how good the bowlers are with just a lil help in the wicket. Great for @IPL— Ambati Rayudu (@RayuduAmbati) April 23, 2017

RCB Bowling performance is inversely proportional to RCB batting performance.
