Rath Yatra row: Mamata Govt says, 'BJP levelling malicious charges; state has not denied permission'

The latest update coming from poll-bound West Bengal is that the Mamata Banerjee government has now responded to BJP’s allegation of not being granted permission to carry out a Rath Yatra ahead of elections, says, ‘BJP levelling the malicious charge. WB Govt has not denied permission to any Yatra, as claimed by BJP.’

In a series of tweets, All India Trinamool Congress has mentioned, 'GoWB has not denied permission to any Yatra, as claimed by BJP. They are indulging in malicious propaganda with neither substance nor truth. BJP must show material evidence of GoWB denying permission to their Yatra. This is BJP’s attempt to claim victimhood.'

In the second tweet, they mentioned, 'A BJP functionary had sought permission from Chief Secy, whose office directed them to local authorities. Meanwhile, a PIL was also filed regarding the same in the High Court & the matter is now sub judice. We thereby clarify that AITC has nothing to do with this issue.'
