Rare snaps showing Hitler's rise to power before 2nd WW up for grabs

London, Sept 15 (ANI): Some rare colour pictures of Adolf Hitler, showing his rise to power after he plunged the world into the Second World War, are up for sale.

The auction next week will include one of the collections showing the Nazi leader inspecting a guard of honour by his fanatical Storm Troopers, or Brown Shirts during his visit to Bavaria in 1932.

One picture shows Hitler receiving a bouquet of flowers from a smiling girl with blonde pigtails.

Hitler is shown in another picture wearing a blue suit, hands kept into his pockets, with four members of a Bavarian hunting party.

The volumes also include rare informal black and white photos of Hitler, including one of him reading during a plane flight.

The snaps are included in three volumes of cigarette card images and will be put up in the auction of military memorabilia by Dreweatts in London next Tuesday.

"It is rare to find such a comprehensive collection of coloured images charting Hitler's rise to power. The black and white photographs also capture Hitler in rarely seen informal settings," the Daily Express quoted Dreweatts' expert Malcolm Claridge as saying.

All the pictures are believed to be taken between 1932 and 1935. (ANI)
