07 Feb 2021: Range Rover Sport SUV crosses 1 million sales milestone globally
In a proud moment for Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover, the Range Rover Sport SUV has crossed the 1 million sales milestone globally.
To recall, the car was first introduced in 2005 and later updated in 2013, 2017, and 2020. The current-generation Range Rover Sport was launched in India in September last year.

Exteriors: Recalling the Range Rover Sport
Range Rover Sport features a sleek black grille with a mesh pattern, a wide air dam, a muscular bonnet with "RANGE ROVER" lettering, and sleek headlights.
On the sides, the car is flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and alloy wheels. Wrap-around taillights and dual exhaust tips are present on the rear.
It has a wheelbase of 2,923mm and a ground clearance of 295mm.
Fact: Power and performance
The Range Rover Sport is available with three powertrain options: a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol mill that makes 300hp/400Nm, a 3.0-liter turbo-petrol motor with a mild-hybrid setup that generates 399.4hp/550Nm, and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel mill that delivers 300hp/650Nm. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Interiors: A peek inside the cabin
The Range Rover Sport has a spacious 5-seater cabin with leather seats, auto climate control, rear AC vents, and a multifunctional power steering wheel.
It houses a touchscreen infotainment system with support for the latest connectivity options.
To ensure the safety of the passengers, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, an engine immobilizer, and a rear-view camera are available.

The Range Rover Sport comes in seven variants, including the S, SE, HSE, HSE Silver, HSE Dynamic, Autobiography Dynamic, and HSE Dynamic Black variants. In India, it starts at Rs. 89.13 lakh and goes up to Rs. 1.43 crore (both prices, ex-showroom).
