Is Ranbir Kapoor Going The Ranveer Singh Way? See Pics

Some striking similarities here

So we recently spotted Ranbir Kapoor outside the Arts In Motion Dance Class and Studio in Mumbai. Ranbir was wearing a red jersey with NBA basketball player Dennis Rodman’s name on it, as he showed off his beefed up body. And why not? It is definitely one to show off. It was earlier construed that this will be Ranbir’s look for his upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, however, his trainer, Kunal Gir, suggested otherwise: “If I talk about the latest picture of Ranbir Kapoor that I had uploaded recently, the transformation has been done for a look test for Ayan Mukherji’s film Dragon. He had to shed eight kilos to look leaner and harder for the same.”

This has completely transformed Ranbir’s guy-next-door look and it seems we will indeed be seeing him do a variety of roles in the future. However, at first, we almost confused the actor for Ranveer Singh. The Padmavati actor is however slightly leaner than Ranbir’s current frame and is known to make appearances in ganjis vand head caps. Check Ranbir’s pics, and then Ranveer’s for an instance:

Kunal also revealed how Ranbir achieved those muscles. He said, “As far as Ranbir’s transformation is concerned, he was 70 kg initially right after he finished working on Jagga Jasoos. We had to build a foundation for his transformation so had split the phases into three. During the first phase, where we had to give him bulky look, Ranbir lifted heavy weights along with seven to eight meals a day. Ranbir had never eaten so much in his entire life. We even had to wake him up at night for his meals. Then came the second phase, where we had leaned him down. The last phase was to make him look ripped. So then, from eight we had to cut down to only four meals a day along with a rigorous cardio session.”
