Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai questions OPS for raising doubt over Jayalalithaa's death

AIADMK MP and Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai challenged O Panneerselvam to explain the conditions under which he became the CM just after Jayalalithaa died.

After repeated allegations raised by O Panneerselvam faction about the suspicious conditions surrounding former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's death, AIADMK MP and Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai challenged OPS to explain the conditions under which he became the CM after Jayalalithaa died.

"When DMK founder and then CM Annadurai passed away, Nedunjezian was made a care-taker chief minister that too after his burial but can OPS explain why he became the chief minister even before Amma's burial?" questioned Thambidurai.

The MP added, "Jayalalithaa was pronounced dead on December 5 around 11:30 pm and within 30 minutes OPS was made the chief minister. On that day, unofficial Cabinet and MLA meeting was also held more than 3 times and OPS was made the chief minister of the state within no time."

With the continuous mud slinging against each other by EPS and OPS factions, doubts on Jayalalithaa's death, OPS becoming CM and if the Centre had any role on shaping the government has begun to create ripples in the state once again.
