Rajasthan: BJP MP uses derogatory remarks for Maharana Pratap Singh; clarifies as ‘slip of tongue'

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gulab Chand Kataria allegedly used derogatory remarks in his address at Rajsamand Assembly constituency while talking about Maharana Pratap Singh, the King of Mewar from 1572 to 1697. “Was Maharana Pratap Singh bitten by a dog that he left his capital and house and went to the hills crying? Whom did he leave for? Do you understand anything?" Kataria said to the gathering. He later apologised for his remarks and said that it was only a 'slip of the tongue'. Kataria said that he always talks about the valour and bravery of Maharana Pratap, and claimed that he was always patriotic towards his country. Watch!
