Rajasthan: ASI removes plaques in Rajsamand district’s Rakta Talai

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has removed plaques in Rajsamand district’s Rakta Talai that said Maharana Pratap’s forces retreated from the Haldi Ghati battle. This was Maharana Pratap’s battle with Mughal emperor Akbar in 1576. This comes amid demands from some locals in the state and people from the Rajput community who had taken great offence to these plaques. BJP MP from Rajsamand Diya Kumari had also raised the issue.
