Jaipur, Apr 30 (PTI) The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) today arrested two absconding persons wanted in a loot case in Madhya Pradesh.
Bhupendra Sharma and Babulal Jaiman, hailing from Alwar and Jaipur, respectively, were accused of looting a sugar- laden truck in Gwalior district.
The accused were on the run since November 2014.
The truck was carrying 320 quintals of sugar.
A case was registered in this connection at Ghati Gaon police station, police said, adding that seven accused in the case have already been arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, Sharma was arrested from Bajaj Nagar, whereas Jaiman was arrested from Malviya Nagar area here, ADG-ATS Umesh Mishra said, adding that a team of MP police has taken both the accused to Gwalior.
Gwalior police had also announced a reward of Rs 5,000 each on both the accused in May 2015.
Sharma was earlier arrested by the ACB in a fake pension diary case and was later released on bail.
