Lucknow, Jun 29 (PTI) Rainfall occurred in some parts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, with Agra recording the highest day temperature in the state at 41.6 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
In Ballia, 70.2 mm rainfall was recorded, followed by 36.6 mm in Gorakhpur, 10.2 mm in Jhansi and 7.4 mm in Fursatganj, the Meteorological department said. It said Varanasi received 4.6 mm rainfall, Banda (4 mm) and Muzaffarnagar (3 mm).
The maximum temperature in Lucknow was 32.5 degrees Celsius, the MeT department added.
The weatherman has predicted rain or thundershower in several parts of eastern UP and at a few places in western UP on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Heavy rainfall may also occur at isolated places in the state on Tuesday, the Meteorological department said. PTI NAV AD
