Rahul leaves cheeky message for BJP before going out of country
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is going out of the country. But before he does, Gandhi has a message for the Bharatiya Janata Party's "troll army": "Don't get too worked up...I'll be back soon!"
Gandhi said this in a late-night tweet in which he explained that he planned to head out of India in order to accompany his mother on her annual medical check-up.
"Will be out of India for a few days, accompanying Sonia ji to her annual medical check up," Gandhi said before leaving a cheeky jibe for the BJP: "To my friends in the BJP social media troll army: don't get too worked up...I'll be back soon!"

To my friends in the BJP social media troll army: dont get too worked up...I'll be back soon!
Gandhi, it must be noted, has previously attracted ridicule from his critics for his sometimes unexplained international trips. However, off lately the Congress president seems to be in the practice of pre-empting any potential criticism of his absence from India by tweeting about his travel plans before he leaves the country.
Earlier this year in March, just two days before election results were announced for Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya, Gandhi had announced on Twitter that he would be flying to Italy to visit his grandmother. "My Nani is 93. She's the kindest soul ever. This Holi weekend, I'm going to surprise her!" Gandhi had tweeted.
Will be travelling to meet my grandmother & family for a few days. Looking forward to spending some time with them!Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) June 13, 2017
Gandhi's latest tweet has already promoted a response from the BJP. The party's official Twitter handle retweeted the Congress chief's tweet and said, "Can you ensure Karnataka gets a working Govt before you leave?"
The party was referring to the HD Kumaraswamy government in Karnataka that has successfully proved its majority in the assembly but is yet to swear in a complete cabinet of ministers.
The BJP also had a cheeky reply to Gandhi's jibe: "Everyone on social media hopes that you will keep us entertained from there too :-)."

Women of Karnataka also await Cabinet formation so that the state Govt can start serving them. Can you ensure Karnataka gets a working Govt before you leave?
