Rahul Gandhi has given a three-K formula to his partymen to strengthen Congress for the upcoming elections in six Assemblies including Gujarat, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi met around 35 senior and young leaders from various states on Friday at party's war room in Delhi.
"Rahul ji gave a three-K agenda: Karyakarta (workers), Kariyakram (programmes) and Karyala (office) first in six states where elections are going to be held, and later on across the country before 2019 general elections. He asked us build a network," said a senior leader, who was present in the meeting.
Amethi MP along with former Finance Minister P Chidambram moderated a more than 2-hour-long discussion session.
According to sources, Gandhi scion has build a sort of task force and he asked them to work on a three-K agenda: Karyakarta (workers) - wherein he asked leaders to connect with workers; kariyakram (programmes) - party to roll out area specific campaign program, and Karyala (office) - to establish party office in various cities, towns and villages.
K Raju, who heads SC/ST department of the party, said, "It's a very important step towards strengthening our party. Rahul Gandhi has picked up a few young and senior leaders who will go to various states and assist the local pradesh committees to strengthen the party."
Former Union Minister JD Seelam added, "This is regarding strengthening of Congress party. We are going to win back 2019 elections and for that organisation has to be strengthened."
The leaders even added that Rahul Gandhi asked those present in the meeting that how much time will it take to strengthen the party at grassroots level, especially in election going states.
