Rahul finds Modi's speech in Lok Sabha 'weak', Sonia calls it 'old rhetoric'

Congress president Rahul Gandhi termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in Lok Sabha as "weak". Meanwhile, the former Congress president Sonia Gandhi said that PM Modi's speech was an "old rhetoric".

PM Modi mocked the Congress president yesterday in the House by saying, "You are 'naamdaar' (dynast), I am 'kaamdar' (worker). I cannot dare to see eye-to-eye with you."

The Lok Sabha was discussing a no-confidence motion moved against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led NDA government.

PM Modi's jibe at Rahul Gandhi comes after the Congress leader's remark that the PM cannot look straight into his eye.

Also, referring to Rahul's wink, Modi said, "Today, the whole nation saw it on TV."

A footage of Rahul's wink to a Congressman after he had hugged PM Modi in the House went viral on social media yesterday.

Rahul Gandhi, in his speech, accused the government of "lying" to the nation on the issue of Rafale deal and described PM Modi as a "bhagidaar" (collaborator) in cases of alleged corruption, not a "chowkidaar (guard).

The no-confidence motion against the Modi government was moved by Telugu Desam Party leader Jayadev Galla over local Andhra Pradesh politics.
