After her sensational run in the 100m finals of the 2018 Asian Games, Dutee Chand on Wednesday, 29 August clinched her second silver by clocking 23.20 seconds in women’s 200m sprint finals.
Chand was slower by a whisker in the finals after she had topped the semi-final with 23 seconds flat on the clock.
Twitter burst with joy as the 22-year-old clinched another podium finish to take India’s medal tally at 52 on Wednesday.
Rajyavardhan Rathore tweeted on Dutee’s victory calling her performance “absolutely sensational”.

Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif, VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag congratulated her via Twitter. While Kaif hailed her second silver dubbing it a “fabulous achievement”, Laxman stated that her run was spectacular.
