Director Karan Johar turned 47 on 25 May and was showered with wishes from Bollywood celebs such as Rishi Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Sonali Bendre.

But the one birthday wish that seems to have caught the attention of fans is from Nepalese-American fashion designer Prabal Gurung who posted a picture of the two on Instagram. Karan embraced Gurung as they posed on a staircase at The Boom Boom Room, a glitzy club in New York’s Meatpacking District. “Pyaar kiya toh darna kya. Happy birthday KJo,” he wrote in the caption.

2. Here’s What Nick Got PC for the Anniversary of Their First Date

Nick Jonas took to social media to share a mushy note dedicated to Priyanka Chopra to mark their first anniversary since the couple started dating.

“One year ago today I went to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood bowl with a group of friends. One of those friends was the woman that would become my best friend, my confidant, my muse, my beautiful wife. I am so grateful for our journey together so far," he wrote.

However, words weren’t all Nick had for Priyanka on their anniversary. Though the Jonas Brother was not able to spend the day with his wife, he made sure she had a good time anyway and surprised her by arranging for her to meet Mariah Carey, her favourite singer, at a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

3. Hrithik’s ‘Super 30’ to Release Before Kangana’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’

Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya and Hrithik’s Super 30 were going to release on the same date.

Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film Super 30 has a new release date and will hit theatres on 12 July, two weeks earlier than originally planned and the same day as Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra’s Jabariya Jodi. The decision was made shortly after the makers of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Mental Hai Kya shifted their film’s release date from 21 June to clash with Super 30 on 26 July.

4. ‘PM Narendra Modi’ Picks Up Pace on Day 2, Collects Rs 6.64 Cr

Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi has earned Rs 6.64 crore at the box office since releasing on 24 May. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh observed that the film picked up pace on its second day, performing better in mass circuits than metros. The BJP’s landslide victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha didn’t seem to have had a positive impact on the box office collection of the biopic on the prime minister, which amounted to Rs 2.88 crore on opening day. The critics have slammed the film, calling it a farcical hagiography.

5. Rishi Kapoor & Neetu Kapoor Meet Rajkumar Hirani in New York

Sanju director Rajkumar Hirani met veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh in New York and discussed about movies.

Neetu on Saturday 25 May took to her Instagram to post a photo of herself along with Hirani and Rishi, who is undergoing medical treatment in the city since last year.

"We both love and admire Raju so we’re super excited today !!! Spent so many hours discussing n talking movies !!! Exhilarating #greatdirector#simple#lovehismovies" she captioned the picture.
