New Delhi [India], Apr. 6 (ANI): Manoj Bajpayee, who is receiving accolades for his performance in the recently released flick 'Naam Shabana', believes the quality of the film is never determined by the box office collection.
"For me, it's never about box office collection. I have always maintained one thing that the quality of the film cannot be determined by the collection," Manoj told ANI.
He then went on to appreciate the director Neeraj Pandey to have come up with this idea of keeping Taapsee Pannu as the lead and said, "At the same time, I would like to talk about this film, with a woman in the center. It's a thriller which is not using the vulnerability of a woman. It is emphasizing on the mental and physical strength of the woman. Kudos to the director to have done that."
The 47-year-old also believes in promoting the movie even after its release as, "Post release promotions are really important to keep the excitement alive in people. At the time when so many films are releasing, it's extremely important to keep the momentum going."
On a related note, spy thriller 'Naam Shabana' collected approximately Rs 2.50 crore on its first Tuesday (Day 5) taking its total to Rs 22.50 crore (nett), as reported by Boxofficeindia. (ANI)
