Quality of our bilateral relations will offset COVID effects on Indian immigrants: EAM

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar virtually delivered the keynote address at the inaugural session of the third Annual Conference of Protectors of Emigrants on June 15. Speaking at the inaugural session he said that the protectors of economies need to revive post-COVID economy, market share as quickly as possible. “As with the rest of the country, the protectors of emigrants must rise to the challenge of reviving post-COVID economy and engaging the post-COVID world. We are focusing that negative economic consequences of pandemic on our talent abroad are mitigated that is influenced not only by quality of our bilateral relationships but helpful approach that we've displayed in regard to health and economic requirements of our partners. It is imperative that we recover our market share as quickly as possible. The coming months will see dedicated efforts in that direction. The contribution that protector of emigrants (POEs) can make to facilitate this national objective is significant,” said Jaishankar.
