Didn't Strip Before Her, Just Changed In a Hurry: Arunabh Kumar
"I am being victimised by some people, but I don't know who they are." This is the latest grievance of digital entertainment firm TVF's founder Arunabh Kumar, accused of sexual harassment at the workplace by several women.
The 34-year-old who was granted anticipatory bail yesterday by the Dindoshi sessions court has visited the MIDC police station, where an FIR is registered against him, eight times to have his statement recorded. In his statement, he told the police that he first met the complainant on May 27, 2016 at TVF's Andheri office, during a shoot for the promo of a series that interviewed high achievers.
In his statement to the police, Kumar said, "We shot the video in my office at three spots selected by her – ground floor, first floor and the terrace. For every shot, she instructed me to wear different clothes. I am a busy person, I have regular meetings to attend. I told her to hurry up with the camera set-up and other things required since I was getting late for a meeting."
"She gave me two T-shirts and a kurta, one for each shot. After the first shot was done, I hurriedly removed the T-shirt and wore the other one right there; she was not alone then, several crew members were present. I didn't strip before her or pose in a wrong manner. I did that because I was getting late. I haven't messaged or chatted with her through any electronic medium," his statement read.
Man Arrested for Using F-word In Email to Woman Employee
Amboli police on Monday arrested a 52-year-old man for allegedly using the F-word in an email addressed to a woman employee last year.
The accused, who had been in the United States for several months now, did not return to India despite being summoned by police. He was finally arrested upon his arrival at the Mumbai CST International Airport on the basis of a look-out circular.
According to police, an email from accused had asked the complainant – a journalist in her 30s – to “f**k off” for some inexplicable reason in November last year. The enraged woman had then registered an FIR with the Amboli police under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC and section 26 (when employer fails to take action like constituting a committee or contravenes other provisions in the Act) of the sexual harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

Industrialist Sues 5-Star For Serving IMFL Instead of Imported at His Party
Industrialist Sanjay Jindal of Jindal Drugs Private Limited has taken a SoBo five star, part of an international chain, to court over serving Indian liquor instead of imported booze he had asked for at a party last month.
To teach Lower Parel-based St. Regis Hotel a lesson, all that Jindal has asked for in his suit is a refund of the advance paid to the hotel, a written apology, and Rs 8 lakh compensation to be paid directly to a charity.
Jindal alleges that this act — charging for foreign liquor while swapping it with Indian — seems to be the modus operandi of the hotel to maximise profits.
