2. GHMC Blind to Footpath Encroachment

The alacrity and promptness displayed by the GHMC in removing the statue of BR Ambedkar from Punjagutta circle, where it was sought to be installed without permission, is sorely missing in dealing with footpath encroachments which are progressing unhindered in various parts of the city.

The corporation officials, for instance, have not been able to discover the glaring encroachment on the footpath of the Public Gardens road for many days now. For commuters getting down at the Assembly station of Hyderabad Metro Rail, encroachment of the footpath by ongoing construction is an inconvenience that cannot be missed.
