Ajay Devgn's latest offering De De Pyaar De is slowly heading towards the Rs 100 crore club. Though the movie has a long way to go before it enters the coveted list, for now, it has found a strong footing at the Indian box office courtesy the positive word of mouth. Co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead, De De Pyaar De arrived in theatres on May 17 and took an ordinary opening after receiving mixed reviews from the critics. However, the film has been trending really well since the first weekend as the movie has managed to woo the audience big time. Growth is decent, but it could’ve done with stronger biz since the word of mouth is extremely positive... Biz on [second] Sun is pivotal... [Week 2] Fri 3.58 cr, Sat 4.78 cr. Total: ₹ 69.41 cr. While Ajay's romantic comedy has been having a good run till now, the film's box office fate could suffer once Salman Khan's highly anticipated film Bharat arrives in theatres on June 5. A report in Boxofficeindia.com pointed out, "The film is collecting pretty well but should have done a little better considering the low opening weekend. The film could struggle to become a HIT and may have to settle for SEMI HIT status as Bharat will probably stop its run next to next Wednesday."
