Ajay Devgn's newest release De De Pyaar De has found a strong footing at the Indian box office. The film is currently enjoying a good run and has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark as well. Though the romantic comedy should have achieved this milestone in the first three or four days, the film is nonetheless trending well and that's good news for team De De Pyaar De. Co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead, the movie arrived in cinema halls on May 17 and opened to mixed reviews from the critics. But going by the BO figures, it seems the rom-com has managed to impress the masses with its quirky storyline. Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures saying, "#DeDePyaarDe crosses ₹ 50 cr on Day 5... Trends strongly on weekdays... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews], Sat 13.39 cr, Sun 14.74 cr, Mon 6.19 cr, Tue 6.10 cr. Total: ₹ 50.83 cr. India biz. #DDPD."
Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com noted, "The first-week business will not be much lower than Raid which did nearly 60 crore nett but had a better start on the first day. This film has the chances to do better than Raid post the first week especially in week two and week three as Delhi NCR is super strong and this market holds very well for a film which has been appreciated like De De Pyaar De." Directed by Akiv Ali and written by Luv Ranjan, De De Pyaar De is clearing heading in the right direction at the ticket windows. After delivering a hit in the form of Total Dhamaal earlier this year, Guess Devgn is now on his way to taste box office success yet again with his second offering of the year.
