The Ajay Devgan, Tabu and Rakul Preet starrer De De Pyaar De continued to bring in moolah despite new Bollywood releases crossing the lifetime collections of Tiger Shroff starrer Student Of The Year 2 at the box office.
De De Pyaar De faced three major films – India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi and Aladdin but still showed a good jump on second Saturday and Sunday at the ticket window.
Luv Ranjan produced De De Pyaar De starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Rakul Preet, Alok Nath and Javed Jaffrey in key roles which ended its first week collection with a good Rs 61.05 crores. Due to the release of India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi and Aladdin, the romantic-drama dropped on its second Friday with Rs 3.58 crores.
The collections showed a good growth on Saturday minting Rs 4.78 crores. The romantic drama kept the momentum strong on Sunday with Rs 5.82 crores despite facing new releases, bringing the total collections to Rs 75.23 crores, crossing its budget. With this amount, De De Pyaar De has crossed the lifetime collections of Tiger Shroff starrer Student Of The Year 2 (Rs 70 crores approx)
