Guwahati, Feb. 4: Public Works Department (PWD) lifted the 3rd GTC-Subhyatra Cricket Sixes Trophy title beating Mangallam Distilleries by three wickets in the final at Judges Field here late last evening.
In the cup, plate and bowl categories of the four-event six-a-side tournament, Food Corporation of India (FCI), Prag Channel and Association of Architects, Assam won their respective titles.
Mangallam Distilleries elected to bat first and scored 50 for two in five overs with Sunil R. Gogoi unbeaten on 30.
PWD reached 53 for two as Manoj Malo remained not out on 31 and Mrigen Talukdar chipped in with 10.
In the cup category final, FCI beat Oja Hyundai by three runs. FCI batted first and scored 54 for two, while Rahul Hazarika remained not out on 24.
Oja Hyundai were restricted to 51 for one in the five overs. Kalyan Gogoi scored 18 and Kaushik Oja remained unbeaten on 17.
In the plate championship, Prag Channel defeated Kamakhya Health Care by four wickets.
Kamakhya Health Care batted first and posted 50 for two in five overs and Prag reached achieved the target losing one wicket.
R.K. Yadav topscored for Kamakhya with an unbeaten 24. Association of Architects defeated S.M. Royals by five wickets for the bowl event title. S.M. Royals batted first and were all out for 27. The Architects reached 29 without losing any wicket.
