Amid a spike in COVID-19 cases, Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered fresh norms to curb the pandemic spread. According to reports, the Educational Institutions will be shut till the 31st of March. The capacity at cinema halls is also reduced to 50% and in malls, only 200 people will be allowed.
Apart from this, citizens have been asked to keep a tent. In urban areas of 11 worst-hit districts, night curfew timings extended by 2 hours and the same will be in place from 9 pm to 5 am. These districts are - Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Mohali, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, SBS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar and Moga.
