Punjab: Farmer Unions agree to end ‘Rail Roko’ protest; Announce resumption day after tomorrow

Farmer unions have announced allowing the resumption of all trains from the day after tomorrow for 15 days during which the central government should open the talks. If talks do not happen in the next 15 days then agitation will resume, this is the statement of the Information and Public Relations department of the Punjab government. The railway ministry has said that it has continued to lose revenue as freight operations remain suspended due to the agitation in which the farmers have blocked railway tracks. The unions have agreed to end their month-long rail blockade from Monday, November 23. All goods and passenger trains will resume from Monday. They have put a condition, whereas this will be a sign of relief for the Punjab government and the people.
